Step Out In Faith

Tim Snyder   -

First of all, I would like to say that if you’re not on the One Year Bible reading app you really need to join up, it’s inspiring! It doesn’t matter when you start, just start, no one is perfect, well maybe Robin Colson and Donna Schroeder 👏🏻. You two really inspire me to do better. I really enjoy your comments!!

Seemingly for years now I keep thinking I need to get things slowed down. I wake up in the morning sometimes and think, “Lord I’m (fa fa fi fif fifty?)” Ha, Ha, well most of you know anyway🤣! How did I get here so quick. Some mornings I have to crawl half way across the floor just to get stood up.

It seems only yesterday, while in my mid teens, I can remember going to Linda and Butch’s place @ Reynolds Lake, out on mount Zion Road, swimming with Debbie, Missy, Tim, Jeff, Greg and Lisa Elder, Angie and several others. Hanging out with my bud for life Ivan. What great times!! Having our entire lives in front of us and now here we are again facing many unknowns except for one thing… God remains true to His word always, always in charge, always there for us, never wavering. Just seek Him first and all these things shall be added unto you. I believe that’s peace of mind, needs met…I could go on and on, but it’s true…Try Him out and you’ll see.

Reading Day 101 in the Bible app it dawned on me that we always hear and have had bible studies about the parting of the Red Sea, but never hear about the parting of the Jordan river when Israel was told by Jehovah thru Joshua, “ you go and take the lands that I have promised you”.

You know what the first miracle was as they made that first step of faith? YES, Jehovah held back the waters of the Jordan river and they crossed on dry land. Jehovah has promised us many things, but we must take the first step in faith and be not afraid.

For example, one of my other best buds in life, Darryl Colson, (sorry Darryl I have to say this), knew he needed a change in life and he & Robin had been praying long and hard about things. Then they, “packed up his duds and moved to Beverly Hills, Oops that’s not right, I mean Destin” 😂.

They took what they knew in their heart was the correct thing to do and stepped out in faith and never looked back. Well, maybe a time or two, but God has sustained them and they have been a huge blessing to those they are led to by God. WOW! What an example to their family and those around them and especially me, thanks guys!!

So, DO NOT BE AFRAID!! Be smart but not afraid! The opposite of fear is faith! Look at this time in our lives to say, “OK GOD, maybe you have slowed us down for a reason. What is it You need me to do. How can I help those around me? Help me to grow stronger in my relationship with you. What can I do to be faithful and diligent to my church thru this time? Help me to step out in faith and honor you.”

He is already giving me opportunities.

Stay safe & God’s Speed,
Tim
