Embrace It
I will be the first to admit I enjoy control. I like things to go according to plans, preferably mine.
I don’t think I’m alone in this preference. If you’ll be honest with yourself, you probably share this feeling with me.
Control is comfortable, familiar, known.
If this pandemic has changed anything, what am I saying…this pandemic has changed almost everything!
We can’t control where we go, who we visit, not even what we can buy… (I still haven’t been able to purchase toilet paper). Thankfully, I buy that in bulk – lol.
One thing that has not changed is God’s faithfulness. He is always in control. He is always good. He is always for us and not against us. He is always with us.
So I choose to embrace the lack of control.
Embrace the extra time this new season has provided.
Embrace the truth that this will come to an end and life will return to “normal.”
Embrace the new normal by truly valuing time with family and friends, being able to go to church, shopping without having to stay 6 ft away from everyone.
Join me in embracing the lack of control.
